Pastor Lynda and her husband Darrell Rice lead our children's programs.
Truth and Consequences
Our children will learn that telling the truth is always a much better idea than lying. They will discover Bible stories about Jacob and his family as we explore these questions:
-
What is truth?
-
What happens when I lie?
-
Who always tells the truth?
-
What if others have lied to me?
-
How can I make truth a habit?
Through HighPoint's fun travel theme, we will "visit" Russia where we'll meet Shamus Snitch, a spy who's lied so much that he can't remember the truth.
Our Life Verse shares more about the importance of telling the truth--
Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self. (Colossians 3:9-10, NIV)
The point wraps up with the Truth and Consequences theme in one unforgettable phrase--
I will tell the truth and honor God!
