Co-Pastors Pat & Trudy Hankins

would like to invite you to look around and get to know us.

How many times have you thought about going to church and then thought what good is it going to do? Well that is a question we ask ourselves each and every day as the Pastors of Gateway. Can I tell you that "going to church" does as much for your life and soul as going to the gym or the grocery store. Too many times people associate "church" with a building at a certain address. At Gateway, the church is the living, breathing body of Christ here to serve our community as Jesus would serve our community. Whether it be through community service, through meeting the needs of our community families, Gateway is here for you. If you want to be challenged to live a godly life, challenged to be a servant to those around you, challenged to grow closer to GOD in your personal relationship, and challenged to fulfil GOD'S call on your life then Gateway is the fellowship for you. And if you want to "play" church, then we probably aren't for you.

Our new facility not only hosts our church but our childcare facility, The Gate Learning Center, as well.

I Believe in Jesus Christ

Linked Obedience

Read Luke 2:21–32

In this day of technology, we are familiar with linked information. The “click here” prompt takes us to expanded knowledge on almost any topic a person can imagine.

It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ (Luke 2:26).

Joseph and Mary were obedient to the Law of God when they brought Jesus to the temple to present Him to the Lord.

Simeon, believing that he would see the Messiah before he died, moved when he was prompted by the Spirit. He obeyed and went to the temple courts (Luke 2:27).

Simeon’s revelation of God’s promise was linked to Joseph and Mary’s obedience to the Law which was linked back to Simeon’s obedience to the Holy Spirit’s nudge. These linked acts of obedience were instrumental in the fulfillment of God’s initial promise to Simeon.

What link do you fill in God’s plan? Is someone’s spiritual growth, or an answered prayer, dependent on your obedience?

Prayer Suggestion: Lord help me be sensitive to the prompting of Your Holy Spirit and obedient to Your command.
